Job Summary
The Learning Management System (LMS) Manager at Emphasys will be responsible for Administering and managing the LMS platform called Emphasys University. The role will be a key leader in delivering engaging training programs that help public housing professionals effectively use our software solutions. This role will create and/or collaborate with subject matter experts to build virtual training videos, interactive learning experiences, and structure onboarding programs to enhance product adoption, reduce support requests, and improve overall customer success.
Responsibilites and Duties
Learning Management System (LMS) Management:
- Administer and manage the LMS platform, including user setup and maintenance, course creation, system configuration, and usage reporting.
- Ensure the integration of training content into the LMS, including testing and loading online training modules and other learning resources.
- Provide assistance in LMS configuration, version control, and development support.
- Monitor and enhance the client’s (internal and external) use of LMS features and capabilities, providing recommendations to maximize system functionality.
- Provide technical support and training to users, instructors, and administrators on LMS functionality and best practices.
- Monitor LMS platform performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements to optimize user experience.
- Stay current on LMS platform features and updates to maximize the platform's effectiveness and efficiency.
- Leverage data analytics to track user engagement and refine training programs.
- Explore innovative ways to deliver training, such as microlearning, gamification, or AI-powered guidance.
Instructional Design & Program Development:
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to analyze learning needs and objectives. Works with other departments to develop courses within the learning management system.
- Review existing courses to ensure compliance with course standards established by the institution and determine course upgrades for consistency with underlying software upgrades
- Design and develop high-quality instructional materials, including eLearning modules, videos, simulations, assessments, and other multimedia resources.
- Utilize instructional design principles, adult learning theory, and best practices to create engaging and interactive learning experiences.
- Assist in the production of performance tracking, career development plans, and training programs to support our customers/employee growth and progression.
- Automate and optimize the scheduling of Instructor-Led Training (ILT), web-based training, and on-the-job training through the LMS.
- Create structured learning paths for different user roles (e.g., property managers, compliance officers, finance teams).
- Establish KPIs to measure training effectiveness, such as adoption rates, support ticket reduction, and customer satisfaction.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Customer Success Team to identify training needs based on customer feedback; analyze ticket traffic for training opportunities.
- Collaborate with Product & Development to ensure training materials align with software updates and new features to deliver most current solutions and best practices in software usage.
- Partner with Marketing to integrate educational content into customer communication channels.
Experience and Skills
- Three or more years of experience in LMS administration and management or SaaS training, preferably in B2B software
- Proficiency in LMS administration, reporting, and tracking tools.
- Strong understanding of eLearning content integration, system compatibility, and quality control.
- Knowledge of data analysis and reporting tools for training metrics.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
- Ability to collaborate with curriculum developers, IT teams, and customers.
- Strong experience creating virtual training content (e.g., Camtasia, Articulate, Captivate, or similar).
- Knowledge of public housing regulations or experience working with government agencies is a plus.
- Familiarity with LMS platforms and analytics tools to measure learning effectiveness.
- Knowledge of Emphasys Elite software a plus.
